A NEW LANGUAGE OF FORM
A New Language of Form was created after researching three very prominent movements in graphic design history: Constructivism, Suprematism, and De Stijl. Timelines were referenced to help in establishing a sense of progression or advancement that led to the onset of Modernism. Visual cues such as the dot, line, and plane were also mined from timeline vocabulary that work to direct the viewers eyes through the content. Colors, images and other graphic elements were pulled directly from research that was done on each of the movements. The system was also adapted to work on screen in the form of a mobile application.
